PowerFX , based in Stockholm, Sweden has been producing music samples, loops and sound effects since 1995, and in fact, was one of the first to make them available as downloads from the Net. Our impressively produced sounds span in style from authentic recordings by Motown musicians to string sessions by Russian symphony orchestras available on our website www.powerfx.com to instantly preview-listen, download, and use royalty-free.

On the PowerFX website we also have our exclusive Sound Effects Library.  Actually, part of our sound effects collection has been meticulously recorded, using the highest quality recording devices and microphones, by the National Swedish Television (SVT). We have the worldwide exclusive distribution rights for the National Swedish Television collection! Our high quality, vintage and contemporary sound effects are yours instantly.

We have a broad base of users of our downloadable sounds, among them musicians, producers, composers and engineers. Some of our professional users and subscribers are game composers, movie-sound designers, website designers, advertising agencies, university sound studios and DJs. PowerFX’s sounds are royalty-free and you will often find them in top producers’ hit songs and remixes by artists like Timbaland, Rihanna, Usher, Natalie Imbruglia, Brandy, The Streets, Fort Minor, and many more. You can also find PowerFX sounds in movie soundtracks, TV commercials, and TV shows. Examples include "The Batchelor" TV series, Discovery Channel, CNN, SVT,TV commercials for BMW, Braun, movies like Elizabethtown and more.

PowerFX also produces and distributes sample CDs, loops and multisamples, as well as other innovative technologies. Just recently PowerFX developed a unique plug-in called SoundShuttle that allows users to access the complete PowerFX sound library instantly. This application has made it even more inspiring and easy to find the sounds that you need. SoundShuttle was nominated by Microsoft as ”The Most Innovative Application 2004.” We are frequently reviewed in trade magazines, and the British magazine Music Tech reviewed our ”Swiss Army Synth” in their "Recommended" section, and gave it 9 stars.

We provide sounds for some of the big corporations, too. You may even have used or heard our loops and sounds without knowing that they came from us. PowerFX provided Apple Computers with thousands of sounds for their software including Apple FinalCut Pro4, Apple Soundtrack, and Apple Ilife; GarageBand. Cakewalk has chosen to use PowerFX by powering their plug-in with our SoundShuttle-based technology. Also Propellerheads, the makers of Reason, use REASON STRINGS, a PowerFX produced title. We also have Microsoft and Nokia among our clients. There are numerous other companies who utilize our technology or use our sounds, loops or sound effects, and PowerFX is always happy to hear from new interested partners.
